As a tutor, I get enjoyment out of simplifying difficult tasks and intimidating concepts. I have no problem talking about the underlying logic when it comes to problem solving. Working with students to build stronger writing skills and approach the verbal/essay parts of the GRE with confidence therefore comes naturally. Vocabulary is my other strong point. Possessing a pedagogic predilection for GRE vocabulary, I will use mnemonics and even encourage my students to doodle so they can imprint tough words into their memory. I can also help with essay editing, social sciences, psychology, and drawing.I really enjoy helping college students and those who are college bound. My education includes an Art History and Psychology B.A., which I earned at St. Mary's College of Maryland. This summer I start at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where I will pursue a Masters in Library and Information Science. I also work at Miami University, as a Senior Library Technician, working build students' research skills and help them understand complex computer programs.A freelance illustrator, I really enjoy the art of comics and graphic novels. I enjoy traveling and hiking but absolutely cannot go without a good cup of coffee.
